[vtkusers] Distance maps with VTK...

Does anybody know if it's possible to build a distance map in an
unstructured grid with VTK? I'm thinking about giving a triangulated surface
in a tetrahedra grid and let VTK build the distance map from this surface.
I'm almost sure VTK has such kind of algorithm implemented but I don't know
if it's available to use and how.
