[vtkusers] vtk and openGL , n00b question

Hi, 

I am a new user to vtk. I have to visualize a 3d image
(medical) using vtk and i want to use openGL for it.
Is it possible with vtk??

Please refer me to some link or resource having any
example using vtk and openGL.
