[vtkusers] Picking with vtkCellPicker

I read in a mesh from file (VRML 2.0) and I want to have a set up where I can pick points and get acccess to the mesh points (ie points that exist in the VRML file).  I thought vtkCellPicker would do the job, but the Parametric coordinates are apparently not what I'm looking for.  What pick class will get me the mesh points?  Thanks in advance.
