[vtkusers] Creating a 3D cloud of points out of an Image

Dear All:

Another Newbie question.

I want to create a 3D cloud of points out of a 2D Image.

The X and Y coordinate would be the X and Y coordinate of the 2D  
image and the Z coordinate the color of the pixel. It would be nice  
if the pipeline used could be changed from the cloud of points to a  
surface.¿Which object should I use?

Sorry for the newbie question but my kitware book is being fixed in  
the bookshop (the glue isn't very strong).
