[vtkusers] How to draw a matrix?

Hello,

I want to draw some matrix(with 640X480) and each matrix will be a layer 
(there will be 40 or 50 layers  and i want to draw them together and get a 
3d look, with the color of the each point... (i want to draw each points)

can someone give me an advise, how to do that (effective) ?
