[vtkusers] mysterious ErrorEvent phenomenon with vtkPolyDataNormals

Dear list,

Please see the attached python sample for a demonstration of some very
strange behaviour in VTK CVS HEAD.

In short, an 'ErrorEvent' observer of a vtkPolyDataReader gets
triggered, but that same observer of a vtkPolyDataNormals doesn't,
although the code says that it should.  The comments in the example
script explains all the details.

Any suggestions?
