Did you build VTK from source?  If so, were both the Rendering and Hybrid 
libraries part of the build?  Check the value of the VTK_USE_RENDERING and 
VTK_USE_HYBRID CMake variables.  By default, VTK_USE_RENDERING is ON, and 
VTK_USE_HYBRID is OFF.
