After some more tests:

- If I change reader->SetDataSpacing( 0.46875, 0.46875, 1.5) to  
reader->SetDataSpacing( 4.6875, 4.6875, 15), the crashes occur very  
frequently
- If I change reader->SetDataSpacing( 0.46875, 0.46875, 1.5) to  
reader->SetDataSpacing( 1.0, 1.0, 1.5 / 0.46875), the crashes disappear
