[vtkusers] Grayscale Image 8+ bit (window/Level)

A question, is VTK using some accelarated (OpenGL accelrated method)
of calculating and displaying changes in Window/Level of 8-16bit
grayscale images ?

If yes, how is it doing it ? (what file should it ake alook at)
