[vtkusers] CMAKE_MAKE_PROGRAM

Whenever I try to do somethign with cmake, like compile VTK, it gives an 
error like:

CMake Error: CMake was unable to find a build program corresponding to 
"Visual Studio 6".  CMAKE_MAKE_PROGRAM is not set.  You probably need to 
select a different build tool.

i found that this variable is in cmakelists.txt, but I don't know how to set 
it correctly. what do i do?
