[vtkusers] Add points to an existing surface

Hello,

I am trying to add additional points to an existing triangulate surface.
The new set of points is X, Y points and i want to insert each of this points
'automaticaly' calculating the Z component before adding to the surface model ?
After that, Is there any way to optimize the retriangulation ?
In the same way, is there facility to extract some points from a surface ?

Any advise and comments would be greately appreciated.
