[vtkusers] How to get the Examples to compile in Linux

I have been a VTK user in Windows environment. Recently, I need to use VTK
in Linux system. Linux is new to me. So far, I can compile VTK classes by
using CMake to create a makefile. But, I try to run the Rendering examples
in Cxx and don't know how to create makefile there. How do I compile the c++
codes and run the VTK example programs in Linux environment?
