[vtkusers] how to emulate ReadAllFieldsOn () under vtk 4.2 ?

Hi all,

i have the problem when using a vtkDataReader object in vtk that not all 
fields are read, at the moment i am
merging all the fields found in the file seperately together with a 
vtkMergeFilter, is there a common method to
emulate the behaviour of ReadAllFieldsOn under vtk 4.2 ?
