[vtkusers] rendering with a timer

Hello all,

I would like to render using a timer instead of rendering on 
interaction. I have found a create timer on the 
vtkRenderWindowInteractor, but the documentation is not clear on that 
function. I would like to know if this is the correct function to render 
with a timer and in any case how could i make it.
