[vtkusers] Variations on vtkExtractPolyDataGeometry

Is there a way to use scalars that are generated from the  
vtkConnectivityFilter as the input to vtkExtractPolyDataGeometry? It  
looks like I have to provide an implicit function, which isn't really  
going to work with scalars.

vtkConnectivityFilter *connections = vtkConnectivityFilter::New();
connections->SetInput( [myVtkPolyData] );
connections->ColorOn();
connections->Update();

int numRegions = connections->GetNumberOfExtractedRegions();
for (int i = 0; i < numRegions;++i)
{
     vtkExtractPolyDataGeometry *geo = vtkExtractPolyDataGeometry::New 
();
     geo->SetInput(connections->GetOutput() );
     geo->SetValue(i);
     geo->Update();
     vtkPolyData *data = geo->GetOutput();
}
