[vtkusers] problems with make in Fedora Core 4

Hello,

I downloaded the source code from the cvs repository and in the process of 
'make' got these errors.

-- Using Buildname: Linux-c++
-- Configuring done
-- Generating done
-- Build files have been written to: /root/VTK
Linking CXX shared library bin/libvtkRenderingJava.so
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -l-lvtkIO
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [bin/libvtkRenderingJava.so] Error 1
make[1]: *** [Rendering/vtkRenderingJava.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2


I am trying to install VTK on Fedora Core 4 and would greatly appreciate 
your help.
