[vtkusers] Deinstalling?

Hi,

hello to everyone in the VTK-List! I am new to VTK. 

I have a question:
I downloaded VTK 4.4. But this version is not compatible with HiVision. This is a Visualization 
program I have to work with. So I must downgrade to VTK 4.2.
What do I have to do to remove VTK 4.4 and install 4.2?
(I am using Suse Linux 9.2)
