[vtkusers] crop a surface and get ids

I use vtkClipPolyData to clip the surface(polydata). Is there any coorespondance between the point ID of the cliped dataset and the point ID on the original surface so that I can find the point on the surface fast enough?

  I want to crop a surface and get the original ids of the cropped area on the surface so that I can change the scalar on it.
