[vtkusers] Any one used DICOM Reader

Hi all,
Any one used  vtkDICOMImageReader.
I tried open a DICOM file using this after installing vtk4.4 
But it is giving the error --------------" vtkDICOMImageReader
(0x021919D0): No memory allocated for image data! "
The same program if uses the vtkBMPReader and tried to open bmp file it
is worked 
Any one help me out in Reading the DICOM files using vtk
