[vtkusers] Can I Do this?

Hi,
 
I have Medical Image Processing application (DICOM), which was developed
through one of the third party tool. I need to do the same application
using VTK api's. I am new to this group, please help me on this.
 
Can I use VTK api's for DICOM files?
What I have to download from the vtk site for VC++ 6.0 compiler?
