[vtkusers] How to save the volume rendered by volume rendering?

Hi,
    I reconstructure a volume Object by vtkVolumeRayCastMapper.Now I want to write the dataset of volume to harddisk.But vtkWriter didn't work correctly.
writer->setInput(Filter->GetOutput) only accept vtkImageData.
    How to solve it to save the result of volume rendering?
