[vtkusers] Compilation

Hi,

	I'm new to vtk and i did not find any document explaining how i can compile a 
simple c++ code using some vtk basics class .
I try g++ blabla.cpp -lvtk -I /usr/include/vtk but it did not work.
I check the faq and some tutorial yet can't find solution. Am i obliged to use 
cmake ?
I'm sorry for my poor english, does anyone has a link to explain me?
