[vtkusers] Getting Cutplanes more interactive?

Hi!

The rendering time is not an issue - once the plane has been calculated,
speed is fine. The problem seems to be the probing of the unstructured cell
data...=|

Greetings,

Marian

Marian,
  does ParaView use LOD's so it can cut low res (smaller) data sets at
interactive speed and then grind through the full one once interaction
stops?

Hi!

Thanks for the hint - but it didn't help.

Right now i'm digging through the ParaView-Source to get a hint on that -
but i'm a little bit confused due to the amount of source I have to go
through. =)

I don't know whether or not the delay is a result of my own code - but I
can't imagine that, because it is a _very_ simple network.

Greetings,

Marian

Hi,
Have you tried setting ImmediateModeRenderingOn() on your mapper? For
large polydata, the time difference between ParaView might be in
creating the displaylist.
