[vtkusers] suppressing the error window

hello ,
 
i am opening a binary file containing 3D data using vtkImageReader.
but while mentioning the size of the file if there is any error(i.e the dimension is specified incorrectly ) then an error window is generated.
I would like to know how to suppress the error window.
