[vtkusers] vtkAssignData update

Hi folks,

I have a problem and I was wondering if somebody is able to help me.

I am using a render pipeline like this (all connected via SetInput( 
xx.GetOutput() ):

vtkXMLImageDataReader
vtkMergeFields
vtkAssignAttribute
vtkImageReslice

This works perfectly fine until I try to read a different dataset (SetFileName 
and Renderer.Render()). Displaying the output of the vtkXMLImageDataReader 
directly, I see the new data, but the actor displaying the results of this 
pipeline shows strange data. Switching Debug on for all the filters I see 
that only vtkXMLImageDataReader gets updated. Any hints? I could do a 
vtkImageReslice.Update(), but that breaks my Lava GUI Layer (which I am go to 
post at a later point).

Any help is greatly appreciated
