[vtkusers] vtkVectorNorm no vector norm to compute

in earlier versions of VTK   headbone.tcl  from Vtk/examples  works fine
in VTK42  to run this example I have to replace    vtkMarching  with  
vtkContourFilter,  and vtkVectorNorm doesn't have  Vectors to compute Norm
("No Vector norm to compute")
How to  compute  VectorNorm from Normals  of  a reconstructed surface?
