[vtkusers] [Writing multiple scalars] A bug or a feature ?

Hello everyone,

A previous post mentionned that it is not possible
with VTK to write properly VTK files that contain
multiple scalar fields that can then be read as
multiple scalars.

This seems to be a bug. Could any VTK guru give us
an advice on that please ?

1   - Is it a bug ?
1.1 - If so : Is the VTK development team considering
to debug it in an incoming version of VTK ?
1.2 - If not: What is it ?

If I can make a suggestion, it would be nice to have
small (very small) examples of different VTK formatted
files, in the next edition of the VTK User's Guide.
That would save some time to the reader to understand
their structure, and warn him/her about some common
pitfalls.
