[vtkusers] no vtk executable in bin directory

hello,
 
i followed the instructions, using cmake -i to configure and then compiled VTK.
 
linux 7.3 red hat
vtk version 4.2
 
but there was no vtk executable in the bin directory. im not sure whats wrong.
