[vtkusers] my first question

Hi,

I am looking for a c++ open source image processing package that can do standard operations like display(2D), edit, histogram, filter, stretch and so on.

I do not know if I should try VTK or somebody knows a better package?

I do not know if VTK has VC examples to show the functionalities. I have downloaded windows binary version and have tested tutorial examples.
