[vtkusers] segmenting vtkImageData for focal and context

hi VTK-users!

i'm trying to write a program wich seperate a CT dataset in a focal an a 
context region and show the result on the screen. for this i need two region 
from one dataset which are independent from each other (to set seperate 
transfer function, opacity functions, ...). the focal region should be a 
sphere.
i already have my data in a vtkImageData object, but i didn't find a method 
to seperate the data in two regions (focal region as sphere and the rest as 
context region).

maybe someone know what to do. thanks for everybody how take some time do 
read this and maybe help me.
