[vtkusers] about 2D slice based analysis and volume rendering for medical data

Hi, everyone,

I want to know a complete description of 2D slice based analysis process for medical data 
by physicians. Is there anyone know any books, papers, or website about this 2D slice 
based analysis? Maybe there are some medical books about this analysis process, would 
you please show me any hints?
