[vtkusers] seeking help on cutting 3D data

hi vtk users,
 
i intend to read 3D data and develop a GUI providing functionality so as to cut that 3D object by some planes. i want to see internal details of that object.
i am using VC++ 6.0 and vtk4.2
if anyone has some thoughts on this, u r most welcome!
