[vtkusers] What kind of Data is the HEAD Dataset?

Hey,

   I tried the Head Dataset in a vtkVolume16Reader
program .It rendered the details clearly and
beautifully.But, when I tried with a set of CT data it
did not produce a faithful output.I also tried with a
set of images and the output was not proper.Is there
any preprocessing required for the input images?
   Also, How to render a collection of points in to a
3D object?I have X-Y-Z coordinate data of a bone.But,
I am not sure on how to render the set into an
object.Is there a way to do it in VTK?
