[vtkusers] reading encoders, assembly,individual part movements

Dear All,

i'm trying to write a program to run like a simulator. there are a few thgs i would like to know.

1) Does VTK support encoder readings from external sources?
2) In an assembly, can i specify joints for individual part movements?
3) Using the mouse to pick, can i make only the picked object respond to the interactor?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
