[vtkusers] no window interaction on Mac OSX

Hello,
I built vtk with USE_X and WRAP_TCL on Mac OSX 10.3.3
When I try an example script like Examples/GUI/Tcl/MaceTk.tcl, the 
object renders in a window OK, but I can't interact with it. It 
stubbornly refuses to move, although the interactive sliders work. The 
Motif examples work quite happily though.
Has anyone else found and solved this issue?
