[vtkusers] connectivity

Hi,
            Is it possible to define the customized regions in a dataset
? For example, consider my polydata represents a cube. I want to define
each face of the cube as a separate region (based on the angle between
the cells on each face, in this case which is 90 degrees). Do we have
any filter in vtk which will give me the above functionality ? Kindly
suggest
