[vtkusers] How change the cursor's shape?

Hi.
   I have a difficulty.I wrote the following code wanting to change cursor's shape,but nothing happened.Can you help me?Thank you very much!
  
   "vtkRenderWindow renWin = vtkRenderWindow::New();
     renWin->HideCursor();
     renWin->SetCurrentCurrent(9);
     renWin->ShowCursor();"
