Berke, Charles Law (and/or other developers),
    I'm running the release version of 4.2.2, compiled from source off
of the CD that came with the book(s), and my Tcl scripts that extract
a ROI from CT images using vtkExtractVOI and that worked with 4.1
are now broken.

    From a glance at the CVSweb page
http://public.kitware.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/VTK/Imaging/vtkExtractVOI.cxx
(which shows the current version to be 1.34, same as in the 4.2.2 release)
it looks like this bug has not yet been "officially" fixed.

    I could apply the patch suggested by Brian Cole in that thread (c.f.,
http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/vtk-developers/2003-April/002421.html
), but I'd rather stick with the "official" code.  Any idea when a patch
will be ready?  If not, could you take a second to look at the proposed
patch and offer a (cursory) opinion as to its correctness?
