[vtkusers] compiling with cmake

hi there,

  i extracted the .spec file of the available srpm for vtk. in this file im 
trying to compile it with this

it stops with this error:

CMake Error: The source directory does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.
Specify --help for usage, or press the help button on the CMake GUI.


where /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/VTK is where VTK source was extracted and 
DEFINITELY there is a CMakeLists.txt.

CMake is the 1.8.1 version


  any ideas whats the problem here?  thanks so much!!!!
