[vtkusers] quadratic cell types

Dear vtk users,

I am just discovering vtk and would like to use it for post-processing fem
results. 
I often employ quadratic hexaedron (27 nodes element) for simulating highly
non-linear deformation and realize that it does not correspond to the
vtk_quadratic_hexaedron referenced in the File Formats document. Indeed this
last misses the 6 nodes at the center of the hexaedron faces and the 27th
center node. Is there anyone who has already faced this problem ?
