[vtkusers] Problems with smp machines...

Hey people...
Here's an open-ended question for you all. I seem to have weird issues with
VTK Tcl scripts on SMP (dual-proc) machines. Specifically, with scripts that
use vtkTkRenderWidget. Sometimes (and it's completely sporadic when this
happens) the Tcl main window is come up along with all of is widgets packed.
The render window widget will come up as well, however, the area of the
widget never gets painted. It's like it's transparent, but when I drag
anything over it you can definitely tell that the re-paint call isn't being
handled.
I have only see this on my SMP machines in the lab and only under Linux. I
run Debian 3.0 (woody), all graphics cards involved are Nvidia chipsets
(ranging from Geforce3 to Quadro FX) with the latest Nvidia drivers. Debian
ships with 4.1.0.1 and I've installed backports of X version 4.2.1.1; both of
these versions have exhibited this behavior.
If anyone has any idea what's going on... please let me know... it's beginning
to become more than a nuisance in my work. Thanks...
