[vtkusers] Help! -- Compile Error

Hello, Everyone
 
I try to compile the Example Code "Creating a Sphere" provided by http://public.kitware.com/VTK/example-code.php in Visual C++ 6.0,  W2000 platform. But there are so many error reported!  And all of them are located in the Header file provided by VTK. just like:
 
"C:\vtk-4.2.2\common\vtkidtype.h(51) : error C2054: expected '(' to follow 'class' "
"C:\vtk-4.2.2\common\vtkidtype.h(52) : error C2085: 'vtkIdTypeHolder' : not in formal parameter list"
"C:\vtk-4.2.2\common\vtkidtype.h(52) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before '{' "
 
Could you good enough to tell me why and how to solve it?
