[vtkusers] Texture Mapping 2D onto 3D

Hello there!
I need to map an image (2D) onto a 3D-surface, say, a
picture of a face onto a model of a head. Is there a
way to do it, and if yes, how is it done? Can I use
the Texture Coordinates to fix special pixels of the
image (e.g. the eyes or the nose tip) to the
corresponding place of my surface?
I hope someone can help me out here, thanks in
