[vtkusers] Question about interaction: the closer the slower?

Hi VTK users,

Why when I get closer to a model's center the approaching rate slows down. How can this be controlled? 

 

While rendering an unstructured grid, besides slowing the forward rate, sometimes I get a "Floating point division by zero" message. How can this be corrected? (I'm using C++Builder 6 and VTK 4.2)

 

I would appreciate any help or advice,
