[vtkusers] Off Screen vs Off Screen Rendering

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience or a 'rule of thumb' for the relative rendering speeds of rendering using off screen rendering compared to on screen? I understand that some hardware etc. might not provide acceleration if rendering is offscreen. Does anyone have any experience of particular cases where this is noticeable? For example, with OpenGL, or particular hardware?
