[vtkusers] running vtk on multiple processors > 2

Hi,

I was wondering if vtk was supporting multiple processors (more than 2)?
If yes, is there a starting point where I can find information (if it exist!) to make a PC having more than 2 processors!!!?
I know you can share data among a lan and render huge volume data, but my point is to make a PC be a powerfull image standalone station. Am I dreaming?
