[vtkusers] problem installing nightly build

I downloaded the 2002-01-03 nightly build and built it with cmake-1.4
and gcc-3.2.1 on a red hat linux 7.1 system.

The build was uneventful, but when I did make install, the
installation aborted partway through with

Installing UseVTK.cmake
Installing VTKBuildSettings.cmake
 ERROR!!! Unable to find: VTKBuildSettings.cmake
Installing VTKLibraryDepends.cmake


Indeed, 
 > find . -name VTKBuildSettings.cmake
turns up empty.

Any suggestions about how I can get or generate this file, or
otherwise get past this point in the build?  I notice a similar post
on Dec 17th 2002, Jarek Sacha <galicjan at yahoo.com> but there was no
reply.
