[vtkusers] read tiff image

Hi, all:
I am trying to read .tif images using vtkTIFFreader. The error message I obtained is 
vtkTIFFReader does not support compressed TIFF images!

Is there some way I can uncompress TIFF images or change .tiff images to other formats?
