[vtkusers] How to creat the cells for polydata

hi,all

how  to creat the cell for irregular polydata?
I test the example.
usually polydata comes from vtkPolyDataReader.
Are there already cells in those polydata coming from vtkPolyDataReader.

when I appply vtkElevationFilter to polydata, the polydata I create manually without cells doesn't work, while polydata coming from vtkPolyDataReader works.

why???
