[vtkusers] python bindings

Hello,

My question is not directly connected with vtk but if someone could help !!

I'm about to do python bindings on a simulation code which will interact 
with my VTK application.
How are the python bindings designed in vtk ?
Do you use a tool like distutils, modulator ...?

or you do everything from scratch ?

What do you think about tools like boost ?
